Eleonore's Restaurant

Eleonore’s will remain CLOSED for the future at this time.

In a word Eleonore’s Restaurant is elegant. Named after Eleonore de Castella, mother of the original Swiss developer of Chateau Yering, this award-winning restaurant honors a Melbourne icon and Victoria’s most popular and sophisticated hostesses in the mid 19th century. The ‘high society’ of Melbourne journeyed to the Yarra Valley for weekends of fine dining and wining. ‘She entertained her guests in a grand manner.’

The original bluestone wine cellar, built in the 19th century, is home to some of the finest Yarra Valley vintages, Australian premium wines and of course a hand-picked selection of the world’s best. Let us help you decide or re-introduce yourself to your favourite wine.
